Basic club rules

General

• Anyone with a valid scuba diving certicate from any internationally recognised institution may apply for membership,


• This is a family club, all club members will conduct themselves in a respectable and responsible manner,


• Members wearing Cape Scuba Club branded aparrel in public must act in a respectable and responsible manner,


• Members not adhering to the above rules will be called infront of the comittee for a disciplinary hearing which may lead to expulltion.

Diving rules

• All divers are to be certifide and dive only to their qualification and own limits and in accordance with NAUI, PADI etc safe diving practices,


• Members must ensure they are medically fit to take part in scuba diving,


• All diving equipment must be serviced regularly and cylinders must be in date,


• Each diver must have an alternate air source (octo or pony bottle),


• You are obligated to dive with a dive-buddy,


• You expected to abide by the dive leaders plan,


• There shall be no poaching at any time (immediate cancellation of membership),


• Each diving member is urged to have a DAN membership.

Disciplinary action

• In the event that you are called upon for a disciplinary hearing and you do not attend your membership shall be cancelled with immediate effect,


• Disciplinary hearing will be held by the committee and yourself and a witness of your choice,


• The committees’ decision is final.
